It’s official–Winter fashions have finally arrived! If you’re keen on switching up your look, here are a few ideas that you can easily incorporate into your everyday wardrobe:
Soft colors are filling the runways this season. You don’t have to stick with bland browns or grays though! Subdued shades of lavender, sandstone, burgundy and pink are popular choices. In our Clearance Section we have a Snap Front Top available in Orchid that’s the perfect mix of subtle and chic.
Animal prints are extremely popular this season too. Add a little spice with this Wild Kingdom Keyhole Neck Top. It’s not only comfortable, but the bold design is eye-catching as well.
Sweaters never seem to go out of style during the winters. Try layering a scrub top with something like the Cherokee Workwear V-Neck Cardigan for extra warmth. It’s available in tons of colors, and on sale for only $14.38 in our store.
Bright accessories will give your outfit a nice “pop”. Even a small accessory like a watch can lighten up your wardrobe. Scrub Stuff makes a fun, Ciel-colored Jelly Watch that can be paired with your clothing. But don’t forget about your feet! I’d suggest heating up with the Baby Blue Fleece Shoe by Dawgs.
Mix and match pieces to create new outfits with only a few items. It’s a great way to save money this season too. Happy holidays!
Look good and feel even better in our newest collection from Scrub Works! What I really like about this brand is that they’ve created a few tops in support of charitable organizations. They have a Mock Wrap Top and V-Neck Top with a colorful puzzle piece design, encouraged to raise Autism awareness. Did you know there are about 1.5 million Americans living with a form of Autism? I was shocked by how prevalent it is! With every purchase of these tops, Scrub Works donates a portion of the proceeds to the Autism Society of America. The ASA is extremely dedicated to helping those affected by the disease.
Scrub Works also supports the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which focuses on advancing the treatment and prevention of catastrophic diseases in children. Their St. Jude V-Neck features cartoon hippo and mouse prints, inspired by designs from patients of the hospital. A donation to St. Jude’s is made with every purchase of this shirt too. Each top is under $19, and now you can make a difference just with your scrubs! Check out all Scrub Works has to offer by visiting here.
October 21 is National Mammography Day! First proclaimed by President Clinton in 1993, the third Friday in October is dedicated to encouraging women to make a mammography appointment. And to encourage screenings, on this day and throughout the month, participating radiologists will provide discounted or free screening mammograms.
Mammography screening remains the best available method to detect breast cancer early. So show your support to the breast cancer cause this month by asking everyone to make a promise to take care of herself and get a mammogram if they are 40 or over.
We have an entire section dedicated to breast cancer awareness; head over to allheart and check it out!

Do some trick-or-treating here and start saving! We also have a new seasonal section with even more festive Halloween scrubs ready for you. I’m a fan of the Care Bear Scare Warm-Up Jacket, especially having been an avid viewer back in the day. Or get a Psycha-Scooby Doo V-Neck Top and become inspired to solve a mystery or two!
If you want to have a little extra Halloween fun, I’d suggest decorating your stethoscope with one of allheart’s plush stethoscope covers. It’s like a costume for your medical equipment! Available in dinosaur, lion, tiger, and dalmation shapes.
We hope you enjoy our treats! And if you’re looking for something edible to go along with your new scrubs, a healthier option this season is dark chocolate. It’s actually loaded with antioxidants and reduces blood pressure. It also can improve your mood by increasing blood flow and stimulating endorphins. In small moderation, dark chocolate is a good choice to satisfy that need for candy.
World Mental Health Day was established in 1992 to raise public awareness about mental health issues. The day promotes more open discussion of mental disorders, and encourages efforts in prevention and treatment services.
We know that physical and mental health are intertwined, so a primary goal of World Mental Health Day is to encourage healthcare professionals to address the need to deal with mental health problems of people with chronic physical illnesses and, likewise, the physical care of mental health consumers.
The World Health Organization recommends incorporating mental health into primary care as a cost effective and convenient way of providing services and reducing stigma and discrimination. It is the only annual global awareness campaign to focus attention on specific aspects of mental health and mental disorders.
Today marks the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As healthcare professionals, we all know the importance of promoting awareness of breast cancer issues and elevating the national dialogue on breast cancer—because while many great strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, there remains much to be accomplished. While there are different treatment options, a cure has yet to be found.
The campaign for early detection has been extremely successful and awareness is the key to prevention. For more than 25 years, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has educated and empowered women to take charge of their own breast health by practicing regular self-exams to identify any changes, scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms with their healthcare providers, adhering to prescribed treatment, and knowing the facts about recurrence.
Chances are you know at least one person who is currently fighting breast cancer or is in remission who will appreciate the support. So be sure to share your ongoing commitment for the search for a cure to breast cancer. We even have an entire section of scrubs and accessories dedicated to the cause. Check out http://www.allheart.com/breast-cancer-awareness.html and show your dedication!
